Mr W. But-land, of the “Hawera Star,” i s at present in Hokitika, on a visit to his parents. $ 'I he Governor-General (Lord Galway) arrived at Auckland from Wellington yesterday and was met at the railway station by the Mayor (Mr Ernest Davis) and the Town Clerk. His Excellency opened the tenth annual meeting of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons at the down Hall in the evening. . Visitors at Keller’s Hotel include Miss A. E.
