WAGE PAYER
A MECHANICAL INVENTIBN. SYDNEY, July 20. News of a unique machine which will automatically add, substract, divide, multiply, and make out and pay the wages of a whole staff with hours, deductions, and bonuses (if any), was brought to Sydney yesterday by Mr Charles McClure. An intricate machine, containing thousands of small steel parts, it was invented by his father, and transported to London som e months ago. On arrival it was taken up immediately by a leading British manufacturing firm, said Mr McClure yesterday. •Every minute part of the machine will have to he standardised. His father is remaining in England personally to supervise preliminary work.
