WIRELESS POWER
AN INVENTION ANNOUNCED. NEW YORK, July ID. Nikola Tesla celebrated his 80th birthday by announcing the invention of transmitting power without wires, and predicted that the development of wireless power will overshadow his ether accomplishments and usher in a new civilisation. By this means power developed at Muselo S' oaks to Id be transmitted to Kngland ) China or Little America with e.jual ease, and at comparatively little cost, lie said, adding: “Several European Governments have promised their co-operation.” The plant utilising the invention will be installed at some place in Europe within a year. The scheme will utilise a hundred million volts, compared with eighteen million volts, which is the maximum so far attained in any laboratory.
