A treatment for hay fever wh ch has been givdn a : trial : over a period of five years at St; George’s Hospita 1 , London, has i proved successful in £9 pel * cent of cases. The treatihfmt involves the application by electricity of a coating ol ironised zinc to the inside of the nostrils. Three or four applications are giveiq after which the majority of j patients' are free from attacks of orS dinavy hay fever for a year. . \ Precautionary applications are given ■ | at the end of 12 months, and again a i 1: year later, and after that thhre is ! usually no recurrehce of the trouble.
