The cruiser Southampton was launched at Clydebank hv the Countess of Haddington, while the destroyers Hero and Hereward were launched at Walk-er-on-Tyne.
Ships in collision.—When the Liverpool steamer Pink Rose (759 tons) pank 11 miles off the Tyne piers h er crew of ten were saved by the Lowestoff steamer George Frusher, with which she had been in collision.
