CHRISTCHURCH, iTuly. 6. i Henry Frederick George Cox, described as an accountant, 47 years of age, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court this morning with stealing £606 606 the property of James J. Niven and Co., Ltd., between November .10, 1934. and June 18, 1935. : He was demanded until July 16, bail being; allowed in the sum of £SOO, with two sureties of £250 each. .In asking 5 for a remand, Chief Detective Dunlop -said that the accused had held an import*! ant position '/as accountant- with the firm. The alleged defalcations . -had covered a lengthy period. Accused was a married man.
