TEN YEARS’ HARD LABOUR

WELLINGTON, May 31. Frederick Jjhotnas McCormick, a taxi-driver, aged 35, was sentenced by the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Mvers) to ten years' , hard labour mi charges of a serious offence against two boys. Sir Michael said the interests of society demanded the coni' munity be protected from persons addicted to vile and vicious practices, which accused was admittedly carrying on.
