The South Africans started a match to-day against Derbyshire, batting first and making 443. Viljeon and, Cameron, sharing the best partnership of the tour, transformed a recovery into a temperate but triumphant onslaught, scoring 272 in 155 minutes. Viijoen made 152, Cameron 132, Nourse 31, Lnngton 43 not out.
