The principal) events were:— Half-mile, Australian championship, Taris '(N.S.W.) 1, Hereford (N.S.W.) 2, Voealer (Victoria) 3. Won by three yards. Time 11 minutes 11 1-5 sec. Women’s junior championship of Australia, Pat Norton (N.S.W.) 1, D. Green (West Australia) 2, Marcelle Cook (Victoria) 3. 100 yards (national backstroke— Kiyokawa. (Japan) 1, Oliver (W.A.) 2, Clarke (N.S.W.) 3. Won by two yards. Time 1 min 5 sec, a new Australian record.
