TWO ESCAPE POLICE

NEW YORK, January 20
Gangsters, believed to he Alvia Kuril is and Harry Campbell, the last survivors of the gang who l«lnapped Bremner, shot their way out of a police trap in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and escaped in a stolen automobile, although possibly both were injured. The police learned they were in a hotel near the Board Walk, a famous watering place. They surrounded the building, but, by blazing away with machine guns, the gangsters managed to hold the officers back until they reached an automobile. Their two women campe.nions wore 'arrested. One was slightly injured. On January 16, another of the gang, Fred Barker, who had long been sought for owning to bis kidnapping of Bremner, ns cabled on April 28 last, and his mother wore both shot to-day by Department and Justice agents in Florida. The agents surrounded a house in which the suspect had taken refuge. They were greeted with machine gun fire. For six hours a machine gun battle ensured.
