AUCKLAND January 14. The New Zealand bowling championships tournament was continued today. Two further games in the Section rounds of the Full Biliks championship were completed, totalling six out of eight in this division of the championship. Two mote rounds will be played to-morrow.

'Great interest centres on the fact that _t he results at t'he end of the play to-morrow, will determine the teams which will qualify for the post-section rounds commencing on Wednesday for qualification is six, or the highest number of wins in 'any particular section.

Players who are released from the rinks and still survive in the singles and pairs championships, will commence play in further eliminating rounds on the Carlton Club’s greens on Wednesday.

. The weather was ideal for bowling to-day, but it did not affect to any extent the bourse of well-greened bowls. The greens played, fast, and the surfaces, which a r e causing much concern on the part of the 'green keepers, on account of the continued d’-'y spel, played much the same .as on the previous days of the toui’nment. Only lour teams have gained the maximum of six wins. These aie RV. Thomas (Wairere, Napier), S. Jenkin (Carlton), H. A. Robertson \onebi t nga) and R. Buchan (Te Aroha).

Twenty-three teams have five wins, and there are many with four. Any of the latter still has an opportunity of qualifying.

The champion rink—H. Wilson of Himvctod ' Club, Christchurch— wliiq't sustained a loss on the preious day, won both matches to-day. This team requires only one win to-morrow to qualify for the post-section play. Whihlcy (Greymouth) had one loss and one win to-day.
