Eight hundred thousand spectators watched the Cup ties. The most sen- - national result the defeat of Aston Villa by Bradford c-ity, which is stniggling at the bottom in the second division of the League. The defeat of Manchester city is in accordance with recent tradition, the holders going out in tihe eljimjnatibn round. A film oamera version of the goal enabling Lutton to equalise, about which there was a controversy, shows that the ball did no t cross the line.
