OPEN VERDICT

An open verdict was returned by the Air Accidents Jnvertigations Committee which inquired into the disaster near Longreach on November loth, when the Quantas Empire Airways liner crashed, killing four occupants. “Although there are a number of possibilities; in no case is there sufficient evidence to establish definitely the cause of the accident,” the report states.
