TOKIO, Japan 10. It is officially announced that the price of gold will be raised to-mor-row from 2.95 yen gramme to 3.09 for the purpose of readjustment, vis-a-vis the London gold market, and keeping the yen exchange steady. LONDON, January 10. The “Evening Standard” says : Goldmining shares, already rising are indirectly helped by the Japanese, Government’s decision to inci'Cse the domestic price of gold. r l his is taken to imply that gold will not recede greatly -.from the present sterling price.
german exchange BERLIN, January 11. The German Minister of Economics states that the permits to use foreign currency granted during December fo r the pureho.se tof wool amounted to 7,907 thousand marks for South African wool, and 8,006,500 marks for Argentine wool.
