The trews of the Union Company’s »■ vessels Karetu, Kiwitea, and Kanna, of tho Anchor Company’s Alexander, and of the Westport Coal Company’s - Canopus, held a combined meeting yasr te?day, when, after lengthy discussion, .it was decided - not-to take the ships' • to sea until further advice has been received from headquarters at Wellington. : \ , The Canopus has been held up %V bad weather since Friday.
