The first gathering of professional skiers was held at Tasman Chalet during the past two days, about twenty participating. Conditions were ideal, and the fixture was 'Successful. It is hoped to make it an annual one. The New Zealand downhill champ ionship and slalom were both won by 0. Cobeger, of Arthur Pass. C. Taylor '(Tongariro) was second.
