ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET VALUES AT YESTERDAY’S SALE CHRISTCHURCH, October 11. At the Addington sale to-day there was a small offering of store sheep, mainly ewes and lambs. Hoggets and dry sheep sold at firm rates. Ewes and Jambs were easier. There was a large offering of mutton, including many shorn sheep, and also consignments from the North Island. The markets were easier by 3s to 4s per head in all grades. The spring lambs were, in excess of requirements, and' showed an easing. Best .heavy lambs sold 2ts Id. There was a larger yarding of beef, the quality being fairly, good, lhe market eased 20s per head for all classes. Prime handy, weights fetched 24s to 27s per 1001 b; heavy weights '2ls to 235; light from ] Bs. Best prtne cows and heifers sold to. 23s per 100, prime handy .’weights 21s fid to 235, plain from ,18s. The best price for bullocks was. £l2 12s Cd, best heifers to £9 12s Rd,. heavy cows to £7 17s 6d. ,

There was a medium . yarding of fat pigs, mostly porkers,, which opened firm, receding as. the sale, progressed. Bacon was easier. .Average porkers si Id from 24s 'to 29s Gd; heavy 31s to 35s Gel, choppers to £3 8s Gel; baconers 43s (id to 50s Gd, heavy 52s 6d to 5Ss Gd, extra heavy to £3 5s Gd.

LONDON WOOL SALES. LONDON, October 10. At the wool sales. 7,103 bales were offered including 3,21? from New Zealand, and about 4,030 were sold. Good competition and steady .prices. Merinos, greasy Queensland 14gd, scoured Queensland 264 d ; Victoria; 251(1; New Zealand greasy crossbred cross and Dob Top 13d; average 10 3-8; Slipe half-bred lamb, Belfast, 16d to 13fd.
