The third round of the New Zealand amateur golf championship played this morning over 18 holes on the Titirangi courses, resulted ;—J. H. Young (Titirangi) beat B. J. Smith, junr. (Akara n a) 1 up; H. A. Black (Miramar) beat J. H. Coltman (Titirangi) 3 and 2; K. Ross (Otago) 'beat J. P. Hornab'rook (Masterton)- 4 and 3; B. V. Writiht (Otago) beat A. D. S. Duncan' (Wellington), 5 and 4. The semi-finals of the professional championship are also being played over 36 holes, differ 18 holes A. J. Shaw was 4 up on C. W. Woodroffe, and A. H. Dyke 4 »p on ,‘H. R. Blair.
INTER-ISLAND LADIES’ MATCH
The New Zealand ladies’ gulf championship inter-island match fives won by sha North Island. The results were as follows, North Island players being mentioned first: Moss Barnes Graham and Miss 0.
