A MAN CHARGED.

WELLINGTON, May 24
Raymond Hodson, 19, was charged •to-day with being found in possession of two revolvers and ammunition, without lawful proper and sufficient excuse, and also with being found in possession of an unregistered revolver.
Sub-Inspector Martin said that from accused’s account it appealed that while hunting round among rubbish in Central Park, lie found a revolver loaded with two cartridges. He.kept.it till yesterday when he took it to tow n with him. He met a man named Clarke, to whom he showed it, and while Clarke .was handling it in tho street, it exploded, and it bullet went through Clarke’s hand. Clarke was taken to the hospital,, hut fortunately is not seriously injured. Accused never told the police that he liad found the revolver. That was what he should have done. There was no record of it having been registered. Accused had stated that the other revolver had been given to him. On the suggestion of Mr Page, S.M., the case was adjourned for a week, in order to give the police an opportunity to make further inquiries.'
