SYDNEY, May. 23

George Buckland, formerly , the secretary of the Australian Workers’ Union, to-day filed a . petition in the Equity Court asking for the winding up of the Sydney “Labour Daily” Limited. Tlie petition will, be heard on June 6th.

Eucklaiid recently obtained five thousand pounds damages against the “Labour Daily” newspaper, Sydney for libel. He claimed that the judgment had no.t been satisfied.

Meanwhile the newspaper has made an appeal to the Full Court, which is pending.
