An anti-cyclone has passed tbe north, ern extremity of'New" Zealand, while n, vigorous westerly depression, consisting of several separate waves, is
advancing across the south Tasman Sea. The forecast is "for strong north to north west winds of gale force in places. Weather cloudy and unsettled, with rain and many heavy falls. Rivers rising | i»e.as rough.
