Heath (liyds). R, McNeill (12yds) was second and W. George m’yds) third. The Vane was won easily by three yards. Time 11 10-10 secs. . . An attempt was made to injure Heath yesterday. His assailant, who made a vicious'kick at his ankle, was arrested. After this Heath was provided with police protection.
