COPENHAGEN, April 17

■Professor Arnold Plant, of ■ the University of Loud oil, suggested in an '(interview on his arrival at Copenhagen tio-day, that Denmark should apply for membership of the British Commonwealth of Nations, Commenting on the Ottawa agreements t 0 Hhe newspaper '“Poflitiken,” Professor Plant, who is Ossel Processor of Commerce, said that the Dominions kept their independence in everything, and had already obtained preferences and other advantages.

“If there were any disadvantages, JBouth Africa would have left the Empire long -ago,” h e added.

Professor Plant was Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Cape Town from 1924 to 1930.'
