(United Pr Q ss Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.)
LONDON, April 11
Ex-King Alfonso has won his appeal concerning bonds valued at £11,200, including English Victory bonds, which he originally deposited with the Westminster Bank’s head office, but later transferred to the Banca de Vizcaya, working in association with the Westminster Bank. King Alfonso, after the revolution, asked for the delivery of the bonds from the Westminster Bank, which the Banca dc Vizcaya refused on the grounds that the Spanish Republic had confiscated the King’s property.
The Court of Appeal has ruled , that the question of confiscation did not arise. The only issue wasv -whether the Banca de Vizcaya or King Alfonso was entitled to the securities.
