MISS BATTEN REACHES ATHENS ATHENS, April .11.
Miss Batten wag, welcomed by enthusiastic crowds. She experienced squalls approaching ’Athens, but nevertheless averaged a speed of 100 miles an hour. She declared that her principal wants were a square meal and a rest, She departs for Aleppo at three o’clock in the morning.

Miss Batten arrived at 12.30, and departed for Baghdad at- 4.30 this afternoon.
AIR SURVEY OF E. INDIES. LONDON ,April 10
The Dutch East Indies Administration has advised the Dutch Government of -its willingness to allow FlightLieutenant Rosg to make a survey or East Indies territories and use landing grounds there -in his survey of the route for the Ano-10-Australian air mail to service.
The Dutch Government lEa© concurred and has informed the Australian Resident Minister (Mr Bruce) accordingly. It is understood that the delay was not due to Dutch opposition, but to the necessity for consultation beween The Hague and Batavia. Britain sent a note to the Dutch iGQvejmment explaining that it was intended that the air mail should be all-British.
THREE KILLED l'N PLANE SMASH
PARIS, April 11
Three passengers were incinerated when a private aeroplane crashed in flames at Bayonne. The pilot parachuted to safety.
FRENCH (SEAPLANE DISASTER-
(Received April 12 at 9.12 a.m.) MARSEILLES, April U. All five of the crew of a military seaplane were drowned in darkness when returning from night manoeuvres. It crashed, trapping the occupants.
