FOREIGN STUDENTS
AT UNIVERSITIES IN ENGLAND,

At the beginning of the new University term, a census shows that there are 2,387 foreign students in the various -cc>-.Vigd?i of London 'University. They come from sixty-one countries. Oxford has only 472 foreigners, while Cambridge has 471, and Edinburgh
The largest contingent of London University’s foreign students comes from India, and this term the number from there is 723. The eminence which London enjoys as a medical centre is indicated by the fact that 596 students from European countries are taking a course in London hospitals. Out of 760 foreign women students in British universities, nearly 600 are in London University , India ha vu g the largest representation.
