The recovery is reported to-day of the platinum wristlet watch, studded with j>nd * worth £3OO, lost yesterday in Street by .< Mrs Dorothy Abel, an American passenger by the 'Matson liner Mariposa for Sydney, from Los Angeles. As a detective was visiting a pawnshop in the course of inquiries, he came upon a man with, the watch, inquiring its value from the pawnbroker. The man said that he had found the watch on the wharf yesterday; - The police will return the watch to its owner.
