SALVATION ARMY
A -SUCCESSFUL CONCERT HELD
There was a good attendance in All Saints’ Hall last evening when a concert programme by “The' Sparklers, aided by local artists, was given m aid of the Salvation Army prize fund. The various items were thoroughly enjoyable, and were appreciated by all. The programme .included items by “The Sparklers,” prayer, Lieut. Young; pianoforte solos, Miss Jacobs;-recita-nons. Misses E-vans, M. JTCason; sketches by Hokitika Boy Scouts; vocal duets, Missies A. and C. Lynn; reading, Miss Jean Abbott instrumental duet, "Bandsmen Ton e and Be.st; vocal solo, y.r Brooks; cornet solo, Bandsman ißest; musical monologue, 'Mis a Evans; and instrumental quartette, Best and party. The items by “The Sparklers’ included action, description and company songs, and sketches.
