CHURCH PARADE
FREEMASONS AT HOKITIKA. At the invitation of the Vicar and vestry of All Saints’ Church, the two Freemasons’ Lodges held a ’ church parade last evening. The service was fully choral, Miss Davies presiding at Ihp organ with a full attendance of choir members. The 'service opened with the • hymn “O God ouv help in ages past.” The ispecial psalms were 133 inwl 134, ‘‘Behold, how good and joyful a thing it is, brethren, to dwell together in unity,” and “Behold, now, p f iso the lord, all ye servants of the Lord.” The first lesson. Exodus 3; I—6, 13, 14, was read by Mr H. W. R. "»>d the is“pn"d lesson, I John .3; 11—16, by Mr 11. M. Ooulson. Other hymns were, “O worship the Kin?/," 'sung with a descant, and "O ’ ~ 1 how jcy’Vl 'o* see,” ami ‘Abide with me.” The Vicar preached on the text, “Behold, a greater than (Solomon is hero,” mating out, that 'Teem-’sn'-, uiHw 0<" pa’-'M- ■' r temple-building, inculcated formation, of chi'iai'ctei association in brother!: m| and (lie hr '.ding of a spiritual temple 1 within the l '”d which is to be God's home on'earth and a “Place of Meeting” for the human and the divine.
