PARIS, November 3
The essential part of the new fortifications along the Rhine-, which are practically, completed 'consist of a aeries of concrete pill boxes, placed in clumpg cf ten, every point where it might he possible for a hostile army to -cros3 the river. The armaments consist of light artillery and machine guns. New defence works along Lorraine frontier are equipped with heavy guns .and will take two more years to complete.
