AUSTRALIA,
ISYDUUM, NbvewW 1.
Suggestions that if Australia is not prepared to allow the entry of Jiapanese goods into the country at saleable prices Japan may seek wool and wheat elsewhere are made in a booklet on “How to Develop Trad© Between Australia and Japan,” which lias been issued by the Australia-Japan (Society of 'l'okio, of which Baron 1 ishiro Sakatani is president. The society points out that Japan has commercial treaties "with Canada and New Zealand, and urges the formulation of a similar agreement with Australia.
The. society, it is explained, was organised primarily for the promotion of commercial activities between Australia and Japan, but it has observed with deep regret that in recent years Japanese exports to Australia have been declining steadily while Japan’s imports from Australia have been steadily increasing.
