Surgeon-Command-er Levick, who was. with t Scott’s last expedition, originated the. Public Schools Exploring Club in the hope that it would! afford an opportunity for selected boys to' spend holidays in the wilds and to learn to fend for themselves. He believes that boys need hardening and he is hopeful that the club will turn out sturdy, self-reliant, and resourceful youths.
