YOUNG RUMANIAN PRINCE. LONDON, October 6. The saddest small boy in London to-d'.y was Prince Michael of Rumania. He cried bitterly when he heard thpt it was his last day in London. His mother, Queen Helen, feeling the separation keenly, remained almost the whole day at his side, and descended the hotel steps en route to Buckingham Palace for tea with their Majesties with a n arm affectionately around her son’s shoulders. She permitted hirri to have a farewell drive around London, accompanied by her lady-in-waiting. Michael returned carefully carrying a parcel containing a present for his mother. After dinner Ahey sat in a small room talking of the days when they will meet again. Queen Helen was sad, and Michael’s usually smiling face was solemn. The Queen’s protest has been published! in Rumania, and lias produced a great stir. Owing to the state of luxury in which King Carol maintains Mile Lupescu, a time of financial stress has arisen, and this is causing great ’resentment. The Rumanian Charge d’Affaires in London called on Queen Helen and vainly attempted to induce her to retract her well-founded charges.
