A message says: “Having survived the perils of American expeditions, who were unsuccessful in their attempts to scale Mt. Nangaparbat in the Himalayas, a young American, Mr Rand Herron, slipped when climbing the Great Pyramid, and was fatally injured.
FAREWELL FUNCTION.

Messrs Bruce and Angwin spoke at a farewell function at the Western Australian offices to thirty-seven boys and girls of the average age of ten years who are sailing in the Cabranald tomorrow for Fairbridge Farm School, under the auspices of the Child Emigration Society.
