The Board of Trade returns for feptember show total imports were £54,266,000, total exports £22,228,009, re-exports £2,901,000. The principal decreases compared with September 1931 are : —lmports: Grain and flour, £739,000; meat, £914,000; animals for food, £957,000; wood and timber, £692,000; iron and steel and manufactures thereof £967,000; cotton yarn manufactures, £697,000; woollen ditto, £1,150,000; apparel, £1,383.000; vehicles £606,000. Exports decreases are: Coal, £604,000; vehicles, £969,000. Increases are:—lmports: Raw cotton, £959,000. Exports : Cotton yarns am] manufactures, £680,000.
