TRIBUTE TO PRINCE OF WALES. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, February 27. “Whether it be Sydney, Nairobi, Christchurch or Calgary, the . high standard of the spirit, enterprise, and loyalty is always a feature of the overseas press, wherein we take special pride,” said the Prince of Wales at the inaugural banquet given by the Company of Newspaper Makers at the Mansion House, London, and attended by over three hundred editors. Prominent journalists, lie added, were numerous, His journeys overseas had familiarised him with the Empire’s newspapers, and Ills many friends saw he kept in touch with what was written and thought in the Dominions, and colonies. “I have come to regard newspapers as my publicity agents, and am very grateful for the publicity, and also for the support for the causes in -.which T was interested.”
