Herr Bruening’s Cabinet continues to rule and will, at least until the Presidential election is over as a. result of the Reichstag supporters in defeating the no-confidence motion jointly submitted by the Nazis, Nationals and People’s Party, and Communists bv 289 to 264 votes.

The House unanimously agreed to the Presidential election on March 13th. If nobody is elected by an absolute majority, a second ballot will be taken on April 10th.

Loud laughter greeted the unusual spectacle of such unanimity. Herr Dietrich, Finance Minister, disclosed that the 1931 budget estimated at over 450' millions sterling. It has been reduced by fifty millions. The nejv budget shows still furthei reductions.
