ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
BODY FOUND IN GORSE. BULLET WOUND IN HEAD. ASHBURTON, January 24. The body of Hugh Gourlay, aged twenty-five, son of Mr and Mrs R. Gourlay, 47, Suffolk Street, Ashburton, who had been missing since Tuesday morning, was found by his father in a dump of gorso in the river-lied last evening after the organised search had been given up. There was a bullet wound on the right temple. The rifle with which deceased had left home to go shooting rabbits was held in the left hand. The inquest for tile purpose of identification was opened before M,r R. Clark, District Coroner, last evening, and adjourned sine die. BODY FOUND. PALMERSTON N., January 24. The body of Norma Corley, seventeen years of age, daughter of Albert Edward Corley, farmer, of Opiki, was found in the Manawafu River, near Rnngiotu. Deceased left a note ten days ago, stating her intention to drown herself. She had been missing since January 13,
