WOOL SALES. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph .—Copyright.] LONDON, December 4. At the wool sales 11,138 bales were offered including 5549 New Zealand, and about 9050 wer e sold. There was good general competiiton. New Zealand lots sold as follows: Scoured Merino combings, Balmoral top price 21d, average 19d; half-bred slips, Fairfield, top price 12|d, average l2id; greasy cross-bred, top price 10$d, average 9sd. A MERGER. Dunedin, December 5. The amalgamaton has just- been completed of Henry C. Stephens, Ltd., London, and W. J. Meek, Ltd., Dunedin. Stephens Ltd., are the larges* manufacturers of inks in the world. Meeks have manufactured inks since 1880, the firm being founded in Wellington forty-five years ago. The new firm will be called Stephens Inks (N.Z.) Ltd.
