CHICHESTER’S FLIGHT. (Uni tea Preas Asoociation—By* Electrics Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received tills dny at 9,25 n.m) MANILA, July 17, Chichester arrived in the early afterneon, escorted by three United .States army planes. He was met'by the Gov-ernor-General’s Committee. He report cxl his motor needed slight repairs before continuing his flight. He will take off for Formosa on Sunday. The Army Airtaxi Company placed their facilities at Chichester’s disposal. He was the guest at a welcome dinner at the Manila Hotel to-night. (Received this day at 9.25 a.m) ALA NIL A, July 17.
Chichester arrived this afternoon front ALasbate. It was with one end of the propellor patched with a piece of petrol tin and nails and other end bound with rubber tape. Chichester arrived after a 250 miles ff’glit. Leaving Orntoc. on Tuesday, the propellor struck a floating object in the sea. but though the plane was in a precarious condition the intrepid aviator flew the 120 miles Alasbutevvards.
