DESPERATE FIGHT FOR LIFE 20 MEN MAROONED. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, July 14. A report from the flooded area, at Moulamein, states that 20 men have been marooned for a week, fighting for their lives, in a hut upon a five fot embankment. Their rations are of the slenderest. They are working shifts, day and night, consolidating their positions.. The current is running so fast that no boat is able to reach them. A CANARD. SYDNEY, July 15. A report about twenty men being 'liiarboned by" the flood at Moulamein is described by the local police as incorrect. DANGER NOW OVER. SYDNEY, July 1.5. The flood tension at Tirana has eased Just when tile water was entering thcstreets, the river began to recede and the danger is now over. Two aborigines were drowned when a boat overturned.
