MARRIED WOMEN TEACHERS. (Australian Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 17. An explanation of the Wellington Education Board’s attitude in regard to tlie employment of married women teachers was given by Mr*T. Forsyth at the Board’s meeting to-day. Mr Forsyth said that the matter hr.cl been dealt with two months ago, when it was recognised that, while there was a division of feeling about the equity of dismissing married women teachers, there was no doubt as to the legal poltion that the Board had no power of dismissal. It was decided that in the case of all future applications from married women, tlie applicants be written to asking for a statement of their circumstances.
