IN LIQUIDATION

WELLINGTON, March 23
~A large number of counsel were present at the Supreme Court to-day, when Justice Blair, on an application made by the liquidator of Hansford anti Mills Company, was asked to decide a large number of questions that had arisen in the course of the liquidation of the Company. . The greater part of to-day’s ■ proceedings wer e set aside for consideration of the question of liens by subcontractors and others in respect to various contracts in hand at the time of the liquidation.
The contracts mentioned were' tlurtr of the N<uv Milk Station, at St. Patrick’s College, Mt. Victoria Tunnel, and the War Memorial.
After discussion it was agreed to dispose first of all, of all claims for a lieivs, which were uncontosted by the liquidator. Secondly, with contested liens; thirdly, with the validity of various orders given by the Company to creditors in respect of money owing to the Company.^ The proceeding’s will probably Inst two days or longer.
