"MONOWAT DUE NEXT MONTH. WELLINGTON, October 23. The Monowai, which was' recently purchased from the' P. and 0. Com pany by the Union Company to replace the lost Tahiti, is expected to arrive at Wellington on November 12th. The Monowni is due at Bombay to-mor-row from London, and as soon as she has landed her passengers, mails and cargo will sail for New Zealand. She is to leave Wellington on December 2nd for San Francisco, enabling the Maunganui to return to the New Zea-land-Sydney. service.

The Monowai is being brought out to New Zealand by the P. and 0. officers. Mr N. McCraig, late chief engineer of the Maunganui, is joining the vessel at Bombay. Mr J. W. Stannage, who was wireless operator for Kingsford Smith on his recent trans-Atlantic flight, is wireless operator in the vessel.
