FIRE IN MATCH FACTORY (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, Dec. 6. A spectacular fire occurred at the match factory of Matches Australia Ltd, at Zetland, which caused damage estimated at £IO,OOO. The inflammable contents of the factory made it impossible for the Brigades to subdue the flames which gutted the building with almost incredible rapidity. M ALOLO’S JOURNEY. Deploring the disgraceful scenes in the Legislative Assembly on "Wednesday when Mr Lang was ejected, Premier Bavin said most people shared his regret that politics had been reduced to such a level of degradation. Referring to the implication about his sobriety, by members of the Opposition, Mr Bavin said he felt it unnecessary for him to reply to such statements.
