Japan is astounded at the receipt of news by radio that Saburi, the Japanese Minister to China, committed suicide with a revolver at Moyanoshita, on the anniversary of the death of his wife Saburi tw'o months ago \vus appointed Minister to China, where he became unpopular on account of a speech which the Chinese considered derogatory. He had at present been visiting Japan to report on Chinese affairs. He had a distinguished career, including Councillorships at Paris and .Washington. The reasons for ,hy> suicide are unknown ’ .
