Miss M. Moore (Hokitika) took the field gallantly against Miss C. Chrystnll, the New Zealand champion, and though she realised that she was outclassect, she put up a creditable performance. -Miss Chrystall won the first two holes in five and four, and halved Muggridge’s in three and Land s End in six, Miss Chrystall taking 'three putts. At the fifth hole the champion put her second shot into the Imnker, and Miss Moore grasped the opportunity and won the hole. At Maireliau/she was trapped in the creek, and gave up the hole. Miss Chrystall 'tailed with her drive at Nor’-West, which the West Coaster won in a wellplayed four. Miss Chrystall won Terra Nova' in four, and halved Crossways in thr£e and Upshot in five, Miss Moore holing a long putt from the edge of the green” At O’Rorlce’s Miss Chrystall was stymied, but won the hole, neveitheless, and also won the Pines in four: Old Nick was halved in three, and at Shirley Miss Moore struck the bunker with her second, and failing to get out, gave up the hole, leaving M.iss Chrystall the winner, 5 and 4.
