Later, the Pres.dent of the Federation of Master Cotton Spinners’ Asociaiion and President or the Cotton spinners’ and Manufacturers’ Association visited the co-operative delegates and remained with them for some time. LONDON, Aug. 22.
The Cotton Arbitration Court upheld the employers’ claim for 12£ per cent, reduction in wages. The reduction will take place from the 2nd. week in September. Later reports show that the Oourt also approved of the reduction of 124 per cent in the list of prices, which is equivalent to 6.41 per cent of current earnings. The award, therefore, is a compromise of the employers rece ving exactly half of what they demanded.
