FILMS ACT

(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 24. The personnel of the Advisory Committee set up under the Cinematograph Earns Act passed by Parliament last year, is announced by the Minister,of Internal Affairs, Hon. De la Porelle, as follows: Messrs E. Page, S.M. (chairman), A. G. McGowan, B. Y. Marschel (representing licensed renters), E. J. Righton, A. J. McCurdy (representing licensed exhibitors). Mr It. Gilding Butcher (Deputy Chief Inspector of (Explosives, of the Internal Affairs Department) has been appointed secretary to the committee. The purpose of the Committee is to obtain the combined opinions of all cinematograph interests, as well as those of film renters, in regard to the operation of the new legislation, and to advise the Minister of Internal Affairs on matters arising in respect to the administration of the Act.
