STILL DISUNITED
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright).
SYDNEY, Jail. 26
The Labour movement in New South Wales .is still hopelessly disunited. Australian Workers’ Union, whose annual convention is now being held at Coolangatta has declared war on the Communists or Reds, as they dub them, and claims this faction is Dying to wr, ek the Labour movement "litli tiie connivance of prominent people in the official Labour Council. The Australian Labour Party Executive in turn argue that they too arc trying to save the labour movement front d<wi n.’ct ion and ire wooing the support of the Australian Workers’ Union, who at present are playing a lone hand. The Easter Conference of the Austialian Labour Party is approaching and the opportunity will be utilised to try and patch up the differences between the.se two units, but those behind the scenes assert there is not the slightest hope of the Australian Workers’ Union effacing itself in this manner. The Labour Council which is really representative of industrial trades unionism and till the alleged Red clement, has closed every avenue toward reconciliation of labour forces.
